The village of Castellar de n'Hug is gathered around the Romanesque church of Santa Maria. Messrs of Mataplana, in the thirteenth century, favoured the settlement of this town, which has kept over time its characteristic mountain style, with cobbled streets and stone houses.
Qualified in 1984 as one of the most beautiful villages of Spain it also has a very interesting Romanesque Church of Sant Vicenç de Rus, with reproductions of the Romanesque paintings and paintings of the fourteenth century in the chapel of Santa Magdalena; the Clot del Moro Factory, created by Rafael de Gustavino, houses the Cement Museum. Visitors can get there by Tren del Ciment.
You cannot miss the International sheep dog Competition in August, the Shepherd Museum and Fonts del Llobregat (River Llobregat Springs).
